Oversee requests

The All requests screen (menu Administration › Catalog and workflow › All requests, /workflow/all-requests) gives an overview of every request, all requesters and all services together. It is used to watch activity and to understand where a request stands; it allows no action on it.

The screen is open to Administrators and to the Request oversight group. The menu entry is visible to members of both groups.

The list

For each request: the Number, the Service, the Status, the Requester (Guest for a request filed without an account), the Currently assigned person, and the Filed on, Due date, Last modified and Closed on dates. A request whose processing has not started yet is marked Being opened; a closed request, Closed.

Filter by Service and by Status (Open, Closed or Both). When the Data grids module is installed, the list is a grid. Review opens a request.

Request details

The Request supervision page shows, read-only:

  • the Processing started on and Closed on dates;
  • the Active steps, with the person or group they are Assigned to and the opening date;
  • the Progress: steps Done, In progress and Upcoming, and the diagram of the process the request follows;
  • What was entered in the request and the Fields entered while processing;
  • the Related requests;
  • the Action history (By, When, Comment). For a step that ran a script, View execution opens its result in the Script runner module;
  • the request's Comments.
  • for a request created automatically (by a trigger, without a form filled in on screen), the Trigger data: the trigger type and name, when it fired and the Variables outside the form it passed on. The form fields are shown as for an entered request. If no person was designated as requester, the requester shown is System.

What next?

This screen only looks. To unblock a stalled request, see "Recover a stalled request", reserved for another group. To handle a step, the assignee uses My work.
