An item is what a requester ticks in a service: a computer, a license, an access… It exists independently of the services offering it: you create it once here, then each service picks, from its page, the items it offers and with which settings.
The Catalog items screen (menu Administration › Catalog and workflow › Items) is open to Administrators and Scoop administrators; a Scoop administrator who is not an administrator opens it by its address, /catalog/admin/articles.
Create an item
New item asks for:
- a Code, a stable identifier used by imports;
- a Name in each active language (required in the default language);
- the Item form (optional): the information to enter when the item is ticked;
- the Start graph (optional): the process that handles the item once the request is placed.
A form never published is flagged as draft in the drop-down lists.
The list
For each item, the list shows its name and code, whether it has a form, its process and Offered by: the number of services offering it, or No service. A disabled item carries the Disabled badge. When the Data grids module is installed, the list is a grid; the pencil opens the edit page.
Edit or delete an item
The edit page sets the name, the form, the process and the Active state, then Save.
Delete is only possible if no service offers the item; otherwise the page shows Deletion unavailable: offered by, followed by the number of services. First remove the item from each of these services (Articles tab of their page).
