The email marketing connector hands the bulk sends of CRM campaigns to a specialised provider: Brevo or Mailchimp. Portail ZAPP never sends bulk email itself: the provider handles deliverability, the mandatory unsubscribe link and statistics. Only one provider is active at a time. The screen is restricted to administrators.
Without the connector, campaigns remain usable (members, responses, participations, attribution); only the Email panel of a campaign is hidden.
Set up the connector
- In the Vault, create a secret holding the provider's API key (Brevo: v3 API key; Mailchimp: key like
…-us21). The key is never typed into the connector screen. - Open Email marketing connector, choose the provider and the secret holding the key.
- Mailchimp only: enter the audience to use. Each CRM campaign creates its own segment in it.
- Save, then Test the connection.
Register the webhook
Once saved, the screen shows the webhook address. Register it with the provider:
- Brevo: "marketing" webhooks, events delivered, opened, clicked, bounce, unsubscribe, spam;
- Mailchimp: audience webhooks, unsubscribe and cleaned events. Mailchimp does not send opens or clicks by webhook: they are read with the campaign statistics.
The address contains a secret token: do not share it. Regenerate the token makes the old address unusable; register the new one.
What comes back to the CRM
- Opens, clicks, deliveries: the campaign member's status moves forward (sent, opened, clicked).
- Unsubscribe, complaint, hard bounce: an email consent withdrawal is recorded, for the campaign's purpose, on every contact and lead with that address. The person is no longer sent to the provider.
- Each event is applied only once, even if the provider sends it again.
